Jack’s Bites was a series of single-panel cartoons created to reflect Jack Astor’s dry, offbeat humour. Inspired by the Far Side comics found throughout the restaurants, we developed our own deadpan takes with a distinctly Jack Astor’s voice and world famous Canadian editorial cartoonist, Wes Tyrell.
The cartoons lived everywhere: as stickers on Metro newspapers, coasters, temporary tattoos, animated social posts, and even a guerrilla pop-up in Toronto’s underground—until security asked us to leave.
